Why I Started Growing Together Guide

Hi, I’m Jonise Rivers, a 23-year-old mother of two amazing kids—a soon-to-be 5-year-old boy and a soon-to-be 3-year-old girl. My journey in childcare started in 2019, when I did an internship during my senior year of high school. That experience made me fall in love with working with children, and by 2022, I became a Lead Teacher in Childcare.

As both a mom and an early childhood educator, I know firsthand how rewarding—but also how challenging—raising and teaching young children can be. I’m not an “expert,” but I’ve spent years in the classroom and at home, learning what works and what doesn’t.

This blog is my way of sharing the real, unfiltered truth about parenting and childcare—the fun, the struggles, the wins, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. Whether it’s helpful activities, honest advice, or practical tips, I’m here to support you with real-world insights that actually make a difference.
